Best beaches of Formentera – The sleepy sister of Ibiza

Formentera, the sleepy sister of Ibiza, is building a reputation for idyllic beaches, Caribbean-like coastlines and laid-back vibes. Here’s how to get there and where to find the best beaches.

📍Kampot, Cambodia - This is what we’ve been waiting for 💧 After a short stop over in Phnom Penh we’re now in Kampot and it’s wonderful!
📍Angkor, Siem Reap - On the road again... 🚗 this time heading to the capital, Phnom Penh, where fingers crossed we’ll have no more lost luggage 🤞🏼
📍Angkor, Cambodia - Despite the fact Angkor Wat is the main attraction for many who visit Angkor, as impressive as it was, I actually preferred Angkor Thom. I think we timed our visit to these ruins just right, as it wasn’t too busy with crowds! Angkor Thom was the last capital of the Khmer Empire and is home to many temples; Bayon and Terrace of the Elephants to name a few. Angkor Thom is also located within its own city walls, which just shows how large and vast Angkor is as a whole!
📍Angkor, Cambodia- HELLO CAMBODIA 🇰🇭 It was pretty cool to see the sun rising from behind Angkor Wat yesterday, even if it did mean we felt like walking zombies for the rest of the day... I don’t cope well when both hot and tired 😂 when it was 4:45am and pitch black the crowds were absolutely huge here, but by the time the sun was actually rising the crowds had dispersed which was a bit weird as I thought they missed the best bit?! 🌝 Before the sun rose we spent our time exploring Angkor Wat itself in the early morning light and then came back outside for the sunrise before moving on to try and beat the crowds as best as we could! Kinda worked?
📍Pai, Thailand - Goodbye Thailand (for now)! We had an early morning flight with a missing bag thrown in at the end for good measure, so it’s been a little bit stressful. We’ve touched down in Cambodia and have arrived at the loveliest hotel, so we’re going to have some lunch and keep our fingers crossed that James’s bag turns up in lost and found over the next few days!
📍Pai, Thailand - And just like that we’re back in Bangkok 😴 after a sleepless overnight train from Chiang Mai & a long wait until we were able to check in to our hostel, it’s been a sleepy day! 🏮 Though we’ve been exploring Chinatown this evening as the big Chinese New Year celebrations have been taking place - we even caught a glimpse of the Princess 👑
